Profantasy City Designer 3 Torrent
Jun 7, 2010 - What do you guys use as far as city designing software? Chertezh kompas isparitelj kozhuhotrubchatij5100944. I've been looking everywhere for a torrent of Profantasy's City Designer 3, but I can't.
ProFantasy City Designer, is indeed a good program to create cities in - it is CAD however, which can have a steep learning curve. One thing though you need Campaign Cartographer 3, because City Designer just adds new tools to that program, so if you don't have CC3, buying City Designer won't work by itself. I think Torrent sites are a crime against publication and copyright, and I hope you actually buy the software instead of stealing it. If you are tight on budget, consider GIMP which is an image editing software like Photoshop, except that its Open Source - which means Free. Using GIMP to create maps of any kind works well, but then GIMP isn't a 'map making software' only, its a graphics application. Go to the Cartographers' Guild where there is many tutorials for all kinds of software from CC3, City Designer, GIMP, Fractal Mapper and many other applications.
There is one tutorial for making Regional Coastlines for example that has had almost 10,000 views - its that good of a tutorial for GIMP. I know there are some tuts for GIMP in creating cities as well. Here's a link: GP.
Thanks for the suggestions, no thanks for the sunday school lesson. I have CC3, I think it's totally overrated and the notion that a mere add-on would be worth $50 sounds like wisdom from people who buy miniatures and dungeon tiles. Gimp is good for image editing. I tried inkscape, but all drawing softwares are a lost cause without a tablet. In the end, I suppose hand drawn maps are still king.
But don't worry, I'll shoplift the pencils and paper. I'll be watching the next time you let someone rip one of your CD's, and I'll call the RIAA to put you in maximum security with the rest of the 'criminals.'
