Here's a review on the powersource 400 unit from home perspective: Manufacturer says the 1800 can drive a 1/2 hp sump pump for 45 min. Probably just barely sufficient for a temporary blackout during a heavy storm. Should work for several hours during non-storm blackouts when the sump pump isn't working every few minutes.
