He served as the Energy sector focal person at the Ministry of Finance from 2008 – 2014. Sherif is also known for effectively coordinating reporting requirements of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility/Extended Credit Facility Program in Liberia from 2008 that led to HIPC completion in 2010.
